The Olympics have inspired my snowboarder!! Noah and Joseph Hayes I love the line of vans filled with moms watching from the warmth of the car. My snow angel The snow was melting and at the top of the hill the kids would literally start on the grass.

Happy Valentine's Day

I love the tradition of decorating cookies. It is worth the effort but this year this activity has left me baffled. I collected all my heart cookie cutters and washed them all up. Logan and I made the cookie dough, rolled it out and went to start cutting out the hearts of all shapes and sizes. I mindlessly had put the cookies cutter away and still to this day,(10 days later) have not found my cookie cutters. They will show up someday. I had to use my heart pancake mold. It was still fun and the kids love decorating cookies, oh and eating them. Logan was so proud of how she decorated her cookies all by herself. Notice her pink teeth from eating the icing as she worked. I asked Isaiah what color he wanted to have, blue, an obvious Valentine's color, don't you think? Wait, on the cookie please. Nevermind, just let me get a picture.

Isaiah's phonics lesson

A little background, Noah has piano lessons on Wednesday mornings at 9 am and I forget often. So Tuesday night I grabbed a blue sharpie marker and put a "P" on my left hand at the base of my pointer and thumb. I can't tell you how many people have asked me about my tattoo. Next time I will reach for a basis Bic pen. Anyway, Isaiah asked about the "P" on my hand so I turned it into a phonics lesson saying, "This is the letter P is makes the sound /p/ /p/ as in piano. His face lit up and he said, "P P like in the toilet." Boys will be boys.
