Laundry

So I have been without a washer for 8 days now, last Friday the washer acted up again (once in December too) and Gary said no more dumping money into the 12 year old washer, time to get a new one. We went Thursday night as a family, looking back, a babysitter would have been better, and I spontaneously went with a front loader washer. Amanda let me down (ha, ha) and decided to focus on her husband during a dinner date and not answer her phone, when I called with a pressing front loading vs. top loading question. I went on and made the decision all by myself. Any way, it will be delivered Tuesday. I have to send a huge shout out to The Pasko Family who was so sweet to leave us a key to use their washer and dryer this weekend while they were out of town. Here is the POINT of this blog: We have been running over to the Pasko's to switch out the laundry. Gary was out with the kids so I asked him to switch out the clothes before he came home. All is good. Well, I just got back from the next run to the Pasko's and I emptied the dryer and when I opened the washer, it was empty. WHAT??? The whole point of going to their house was to WASH clothes. I come home and ask Gary, "Why were you suppose to go over to the Pasko's?" He replies, "to get the clothes."
"What about starting another load?" I ask, quite curiously.
"Well, I was crunched for time because Noah was in the car counting and I was trying to get back to the van before he got to 100."
I laughed SO HARD!!!
Is anyone more competitive than that?? Seriously, your seven year old is counting in the car and you want to WIN!!!!
(For the record, Noah counted to 140 and Gary lost.)

I love when I make the blog even if it is about laundry! you'll love the front loader...sorry my phone doesn't ring loud enough...you are ALWAYS important. :)

Oh man...cracking up! Yes, that is very competitive! boys will always be boys!

But, I agree...you'll love your front loader...and save a ton in detergent, too!

Today was Logan's photo shoot for her four year picture. Noah (seven years old) had his picture take a couple of weeks ago but I never posted them. Would you believe these were taken downtown. . . . Upland?? Traci Falder, (my running partner) has abandoned running with me to pursue her dream of starting a photography business. (no hurt feelings) She is extremely talented and I encourage you to check out her photography blog at tracifalderphotography.blogspot.com. In between these two photo shoots, I took Isaiah to JCPenny's for his picture because my membership runs out at the end of this month. After trying to keep my active 18 month old on a red dot, in a tiny room, with a billion props to look at, (but me not letting him hold any), it was all I could do to not walk out and call Traci to redo his pics. Baseball Season has Arrived

Noah as "Lead Off" Batter, which has become Coach Spiegel's nick name for him. This weekend we had a game Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Noah's team is 2-2 and Noah is having a great time. He is batting well and improving out in the field at his new position of pitcher. Last year he played third base and really liked that. Noah is learning to think about where he should throw the ball to get someone out BEFORE the other team hits. He has fielded well and then made errors in where he has or has not thrown the ball. This will come for him as he keeps playing. I hope this doesn't sound critical, I think Noah is a fantastic athlete for his age (I hope that doesn't sound braggy) I just want to journal where he is ability wise so we can look back and see where he improves over time.
