Winter Wonderland

We were all excited to get out in the snow and onto the ice at the lake where we spend our summers. Gary was being the protective one and searched for large rocks to try and bust the ice beneath our feet to see if it was thick enough. He even tried this very large stick that seemed to give him peace about the safety of the ice. Personally, I was fine to know the ice fishermen were out and we knew how deep/shallow the water was from swimming there. The sun was out and the sky looked just as it does in the summer, the same Michigan blue, the snow was gorgeous.

Noah hopped up on the wave runners hoist (before we could stop him) and he thought it was so cool to be sitting where the wave runner usually does.
We all were on the ice having a blast exploring, making snow angels, and taking in the view of the lake in the winter. Isaiah was a bit nervous, never having snow pants on before and being quite bundled. He slipped on the ice and got a face full of snow. . . but remained absolutely adorable!!
Loggy felt the urge to dance and do ballet on the ice. She is such a free spirit and danced and sang for a good bit of time. Then when we checked on the cottage she was excited to find Mr. Barkley. Mom and Dad, thank you so much for opening up the house for us, this is a weekend we will never forget!!
